The procedural scenes, animation direction and three shared procedural scores were made for these Framecraft studies. The twelve samples reuse and adapt those scores; the illustrated story adds local synthetic narration.
Fox character
The model is the existing Khronos glTF sample Fox, reused from Aether Isles. Model: PixelMannen (2014), CC0 1.0. Rigging and animation: tomkranis (2014), CC BY 4.0. glTF conversion: AsoboStudio and scurest (2017), CC BY 4.0. The original GLB is unchanged. The demo samples its Survey, Walk and Run clips.
Technology
Framecraft's own source and SDK are MIT licensed. Three.js 0.180.0 is MIT licensed. Browser film export uses Mediabunny 1.56.1 under MPL-2.0 and the WebCodecs API. Outfit fonts use the SIL Open Font License. Runtime dependency notices are bundled in the parent app's licenses directory.
RobotExpressive
The unchanged model comes from the model-specific CC0 release in Three.js r180. Model and animations by Tomás Laulhé / Quaternius; expression morphs added by Don McCurdy. See the pinned upstream notice and CC0 text.
Recorded motion
The pirouette BVH comes from Carnegie Mellon University's Motion Capture Database via Three.js. The data used in this project was obtained from mocap.cs.cmu.edu. The database was created with funding from NSF EIA-0196217. CMU permits copying, modification and redistribution and inclusion in commercial products; direct resale of the data is prohibited. The 4.93-second source take is slowed to 18 seconds. CMU terms · Provenance.
Illustrated story
The three Joseph illustrations are the owner's original AI-generated StoryComet artwork, converted to JPEG for this sample. The story is an abridged paraphrase of Genesis 39–45, not a quotation from a Bible translation. Narration was generated locally with Kokoro-82M, voice af_heart, at native speed. No person's voice was cloned. Sentence timings and source hashes accompany the assets.
Additional studies
The 2D easing diagram, frequency visualizer, train station, hovercraft arena and their animation are original code. The visualizer measures the actual soundtrack. Capture displays recorded body joints and a geometric mannequin; it does not run webcam tracking.
Pixel animation and physics
The campsite atlas combines the owner’s original Hearthlands villagers and environment sprites with original campsite artwork. See the sprite provenance for source revisions and frame details. The marble sculpture and fixed-step sphere simulation are original code.
Scope
These are small working prototypes. The scene and settings are editable; general scene import, rig creation, humanoid retargeting, facial lip-sync and collaboration are not implemented. Capture accepts bounded standard BVH files and saves their motion text in the project. Project JSON saves direction settings for the bundled scene, not a general animation project.
