# Recorded motion provenance

`pirouette.bvh` is the unmodified 763,933-byte BVH distributed by Three.js r180:

The Three.js example explicitly labels this animation as from `mocap.cs.cmu.edu`. The exact CMU subject/motion number and conversion author were not identified; do not invent them. This asset's data license is the CMU terms below, not automatically the Three.js code MIT license, and not CC BY.

Keep the homepage and FAQ terms together: “free for all uses” should not hide the explicit direct-resale restriction. This scene uses recorded joint animation, not camera capture, pose inference, marker tracking, or new motion generation. The mannequin is a code-built visualization of the supplied body joints.
